My next-door neighbour’s a witch, of that I am sure.
Last week I had a tummy ache, so she made me a cure.
She chopped-up some herbs, which she grows in a pot,
then brewed me some tea, and said ‘drink down the lot’.
My next-door neighbour’s a witch, honest, I swear
when I was in her house I saw her broomstick there.
It was long, brown and dusty, full of twigs at its end,
“It no longer flies”, she smiled and explained.
My next-door neighbour’s a witch, I find it so cool,
I asked her to come and visit my school.
So she came with her hat, and her wand, and black cat,
She met all my friends and we had a nice chat.
My next-door neighbour’s a witch, aren’t I so lucky;
when I knocked on her door, I felt, oh so plucky.
But when the door swung open, she wasn’t there,
the house stood all empty, t'was cold and so bare.
My next-door neighbour was a witch,
but now she’s gone away,
I guess her broomstick was working,
I hope she’ll be back one day.
